Greg also repaired my spin bike when it broke at no cost (which we stupidly tried to do ourselves first), and has helped me with my spin shoes over the years. We no longer go anywhere else!
I was on a bike tour from Boston to Brooklyn the week of April 26th 2016. My friend and I used Google Maps to follow the route, and we weren't expecting to run into this shop on our way to Port Jeff. It was a nice surprise because I needed to pump air into my tires. I came inside and the gentleman there asked us if we needed help, and we asked if we could use their air pump. He said sure, and when I asked if I should bring the bikes inside, he said we could take the pump outside and then asked me if I knew how to use it. On my way out, I ran into who I'm assuming was the owner (very friendly lady) who asked me if I was all set. To be fair, it probably looked like I was running out of their store with a nice air pump haha, but she came out to chat and was very friendly in offering any more mechanical help and mentioned some bike tours she had participated in. I know small town shops are generally different than bigger city shops; but I was very content in how friendly and welcoming they were here. The space looked big and they had a wide variety of accessories and bikes. I'll come see you guys again sometime soon! Greetings from Boston!
Outstanding, local, personal and knowledgable. Many purchases and no disappointments. Greg and his staff are exceptional.
Greg picks up the bikes every year to service them and returns them to us when they are ready. We have had flat tires over the years and he promptly repaired or replaced them, even offering to come get us if we were stranded. This is a wonderful small business that is focused on taking care of their customer.
The most professional, kind and capable people work here. Fixed my mirror that I'd bought elsewhere at no charge. All the work they've done for me has been excellent and it's been done with a smile
My husband and I bought bikes here a few years ago. Greg worked with us on what we were looking for - then let us borrow them first for the weekend to make sure that we were comfortable on them. We were so happy with the service that we also bought bikes for our three kids. He fitted the kids with a very professional focus on safety but making sure that they could grow with them as well.
The owner of this cool shop gave a free, lucid, helpful, supportive 1.5 hr. workshop at our local library this spring, 2014, and he was terrific. He gave us all complimentary notes and a small, portable "puncture repair kit". This teacher/mechanic/techie was truly fabulous! Hard to find reliable, professional bike advice, free or otherwise!
